CAFOA HALL OF FAME

NOMINATING FORM

To nominate an official for consideration into the CAFOA Hall of Fame please complete the spaces below and forward to the CAFOA Nominating Chairman.  The following criteria has been established for election consideration:

1.        The official shall have made a significant contribution to football officiating exclusively within the CAFOA area.  Significant contributions/achievements include but are not limited to:
a) years of service;
b) CAFOA Board service and/or leadership roles on the Board;         
c) active in assisting fellow officials whether in the mentoring program or by giving their time at mechanics clinics, meetings, camps or as an observer that has ultimately helped other officials in achieving their goals;
d) working State Championship games;
e) any other contributions deemed to have positively affected the officiating community.

2.        The official shall have been retired from officiating (High School level) for a minimum of 3 years.

The CAFOA Board shall appoint a Nominating Committee to review all nominations to verify that the nominees meet the above criteria.  Any CAFOA member may submit a nomination form detailing why he/she believes that the nominee is worthy of this honor.  A 2/3 vote of the CAFOA Board will be required to elect any official into the CAFOA Hall of Fame.  No more than five (5) individuals shall be elected in the first four (4) years (2004 through 2007) and no more than two (2) individuals shall be elected in any subsequent year.
